Applying for Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a valuable option for young people, combining paid employment with training and recognised qualifications.

Recently, a colleague from Lincoln College delivered a talk on apprenticeships at the Lincoln base, which was live-linked to all three sites. The session helped pupils better understand what apprenticeships involve and the opportunities available after age 16.

Following this, we have received some helpful resources that parents and pupils may find useful when exploring apprenticeship options. These include:

• Current apprenticeship vacancies

• Application guide explaining how to apply

While the guide was created by Lincoln College, the information is relevant to all apprenticeship providers and gives a clear overview of the application process.

These resources are also used during careers discussions with pupils and may be helpful for parents supporting conversations at home about future education and career choices.
