Trips
Trips offer a valuable opportunity to come together as a whole school and meet pupils from other bases as well as expanding pupils’ knowledge, understanding and experience of the world – and themselves!
When planning trips, we follow local authority protocols and use the Evolve database to assist in the preparation.
In recent years, there have been 5 main school trips each year which have been open to pupils both taught in the 3 bases and at home. These are:
An outdoor pursuit – This could include paintballing, laser tag and go ape and are an opportunity for the pupils to work in teams to achieve set aims. This trip is always very popular with our pupils.
Spiritual Visit – These visits include trips to Lincoln cathedral or other religious places of interest. These trips bring to life the SMSC provision that is taught during lessons.
Cinema trip – Once a year we book a screen for exclusive access by Pilgrim pupils to be able to watch a Christmas movie.
City trip – An annual city trip provides our pupils with the opportunity to visit a city of culture. We have previously travelled to London and pupils have visited The Globe theatre and science museum.
Lincolnshire show – As a school proud of its Lincolnshire roots, we arrange for pupils to attend the Lincolnshire show and learn more about the county. Pupils are able to experience the work that local farmers undertake and enjoy the festivities laid on by the people of Lincolnshire.
