Key Staff

Hope Smith - Training and Development Officer at the Pilgrim School

This role entails delivering a range of internal and external training and support, on a variety of mental health and wellbeing themes.

I have worked within education for over 20 years, in a variety of roles that have involved supporting vulnerable young people.

I have been with the Pilgrim School for almost 8 years, working initially in a pastoral capacity, as a Reintegration and Support Officer, before developing the training offer for the school.

I am a qualified mental Health First Aid Trainer. Over the last three years, I have delivered Mental Health and Wellbeing related training to hundreds of educational practitioners throughout Lincolnshire.

Joe Denton - Pastoral Support & Wellbeing Specialist at the Pilgrim School

I have worked in education for over 15 years in a variety of rolls and settings. I have worked in The Pilgrim School (SEMH School) for the last 4 years as a Pastoral Support & Wellbeing Specialist. Whilst working in this roll I completed my MSc in Attachment Studies. I am passionate about the application of attachment theory in school to better support pupil’s needs.
