Citizenship

We strive for pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to play a full part in democratic society, as active and informed citizens. Pupils learn about democracy, politics, parliament and voting alongside topics such as human rights, justice and sustainability in a range of ways: 

• KS3 Life lessons covering core themes  
• Prince’s Trust Enterprise scheme 
• KS4 monthly tutorials covering key themes 
• Specialist tutorials at key points e.g. election, Ukraine invasion 
• Pupil roles in school 
• Recycling initiatives 
• PSHE/Careers lessons 
• Volunteering opportunities 
• Participation in local stakeholder events, e.g. Lincolnshire Strong voices
