Pupil Premium

Pupil premium funding is additional funding that the Department for Education gives to schools to support the most vulnerable learners. 

Most of the pupils at the Pilgrim school are dual registered. This means that the funding is given by the Department for Education to the pupil's mainstream schools. The advice to schools is to pool the money and use it collectively. The monies are not portable. This means that the sum that the Pilgrim school receives is comparatively small compared to need. 

We have taken the decision to use this funding over the next 3 years to focus on a curriculum area: reading. How we will approach this is detailed in the plan below.
